Artist Information

Paula studied Calligraphy, Heraldry & Illumination at college & worked in those fields professionally for 20 yrs before deciding that Make-up and particularly the world of TV, Theatre & Film was where she wanted to be, particularly special effects & character make-ups. Paula attended Brushstroke Make-up School and went on to back that up by studying Hairdressing & Wigmaking at Farnborough College Of Technology. She has worked in the theatre on many local productions, and is following the path of Face Painting, which satisfies her need to create Amazing Faces on children of all ages.

As a Face Painter, Paula has discovered the delights of helping children of all ages discover their inner monsters; she enjoys the relationship built whilst the face painting is being created, preferring the more complex face paintings where this relationship can progress with the individual being painted, allowing them to blossom into character. She also enjoys the delight of showing the finished creation in the mirror.

Paula teaches face painting both privately and at her local adult education centre. She also organises courses by the internationally renowned face painter, Olivier Zegers.
